I have joined InfoBarrel. What now?

Okay, so my last post made you so excited that you joined up immediately after reading it. You are now part of the InfoBarrel community, you have created a stunning user profile and you are at a loss about what to do next.

I have a few suggestions which you can follow or not follow at your own discretion. Here goes:

  • On the InfoBarrel site, go right to the bottom of the home page. So remember, start at the bottom :-) Go right to the bottom where the copyright sign is. Next to that is a tab called "Terms of Service". Read the boring Terms of Service. It is important that you know what you can or can not do.
  • Still at the bottom of the page is another tab called "Privacy Policy". Read that as well.
  • Then go to XML Sitemap and memorize the page. Kidding. You don't have to go to the XML Sitemap, it is gibberish.
  • A bit higher up on the left of the page are some Site Links. Explore the site through those links. Get to know the four vibrant young guys that started all this, see who will be (hopefully) approving your articles that you submit.
  • Next to Site Links is another tab called Help. This is where you are really going to learn a lot about how the InfoBarrel site works, how to get started, etc. The FAQ section alone is like a university.
  • If you want, you can read through a couple of the archives and see how InfoBarrel has been growing since inception in 2008. It makes real interesting reading.
  • Now you are ready to go to "Explore InfoBarrel" and get a feel for how your articles should look by reading some of the articles that have been submitted by others in the InfoBarrel community. There are a lot of motivational articles by some of the top earners on InfoBarrel. See what they are earning and see yourself also earning that kind of money - very inspiring, I must add.
  • Next, scroll right to the top of the Home page and work through the tabs from left to right. Now you will see that InfoBarrel even has a blog and a forum. A blog is something like you are seeing right now when you look at my Blog About InfoBarrel, and a forum is one of the coolest things on the internet. This is where you meet all the other members of the community, where you can ask questions and receive answers to your questions, and where you can introduce yourself to everybody else. So come on, do it - go and introduce yourself - NOW! :-) The forum is the place to learn all the tricks of the trade and should be visited often. Don't forget that you get points for your interaction on the forum. You can see how many points you have earned and what the points are for on your profile page.
Now that you can navigate the site successfully and have introduced yourself to all the other InfoBarrellers, it is time to rest.

Rest well, because from this point forward, you are going to submit good articles one after the other and build up a substantial residual income over the next couple of months and years. I never said it was easy, but persevere and you will reap the fruits of your hard work for years to come.

Keep your eyes peeled for my next post. I am thinking of doing a motivational- and how-to post on writing articles. You are going to need it. Enjoy the process!

Don't forget to follow my tweets.
